Functions

1. To formulate rules of the Ministry, be responsible for the administrative operation of the Ministry, and supervise the implementation of annual programs of the Ministry.

2. To be responsible for related work, coordinating administrative affairs, and assisting leaders of the Ministry in grasping the overall work situation.

3. To undertake tasks assigned by the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council, and deal with proposals of deputies of the NPC and members of National Committee of CPPCC.

4. To manage conferences of the Ministry, organize conferences of the Party Group, executive meetings and important comprehensive conferences, and supervise the implementation of resolutions.

5. To be responsible for administrative affairs, confidential work and duties of the Ministry; to undertake secretarial work of the Party Group, leaders and ministerial-level senior cadres; and to deal with relevant affairs concerning the Minister Reception Day.

6. To formulate and organize to implement management regulations of official documents and stamps, and undertake the task of reviewing official documents of the Ministry.

7. To be responsible for administrative information of the Ministry; to edit and publish China Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Gazette.

8. To set information office in the General Office; to be responsible for information publicizing and news releasing; and to manage all kinds of publications.

9. To be responsible for confidentiality, archives management, code management, and letters and calls of the Ministry.

10. To set MOFCOM emergency management office in the General Office, in charge of emergency management in the commercial field.

11. To take charge of liaison with Local Commissioner's Offices, and undertake liaison work with local departments.

12. To take charge of administrative affairs related to the responsibilities of International Trade Representatives.

13. To undertake other work assigned by the leaders of the Ministry.
